Putting Mum in a Home
Mum’s getting on in years now,
And she’s been living alone since Dad died.
Her memory is failing too,
So we think she would be better in a home.
We know it will be difficult,
But the doctor says mum’s losing weight,
And needs to take her medication,
So we are sure she would be better in a
home.
Not all our friends agree with us.
They think we will regret the move.
I suppose they all mean well,
But we know she would be better in a home.
With people there to care for her,
To love and help and share with her,
No other way seems right to us,
But to welcome her, with joy, into our
home!
