The Barbers.
Wayne’s not old as
barbers go, so it’s a fair bet
as the barber in Yass, he’ll be there for a
while yet.
I’m happy to wait my turn in his chair
reading his fishing magazines and other
fare.
But over the years people change their
ways.
Barbering’s a trade you can’t learn these
days.
A cut’s not enough for young men of today,
they want perms and streaks and gel and
spray.
“Men’s Sheds” are new, but I remember when
every town had one. It was the barbers
then.
